Why Guitar? Why Worship?
In the church, music and worship are almost always spoken of together. And that's because there is a beauty in music at church that points us to our Creator. But, even more than that, music is often associated with worship because it is an expression of worship, made practical. When we sing to God and with each other, it turns the heart toward gratitude and humility. And, at its most foundational level, it stirs a community of believers to encourage one another in the faith.
But worship was never meant to be only music. It's a way of living rightly in three directions: God to us, us to one another, and us toward the world He made. Art and music are gifts from God, meant to glorify Him and to shape how we understand those relationships in God's kingdom.
The goal at Ignite Guitar is not JUST to be the best guitar players we can be, but people whose music becomes a form of worship — at home, in the church, and to the ends of the earth.

About the Founder
Hi, I'm Scott. Music has been part of my life since I was a kid, growing up in a family that loved Jesus and loved making music together.
I picked up my dad's old guitar at 12, started teaching lessons at 13 to pay for more lessons, spent years performing and recording with my brothers in a band called Cliftones, and eventually developed the curriculum that became IgniteGuitar while teaching guitar classes at my church.
My passion is simple: helping people learn guitar, grow as musicians, and use their gifts to glorify God.
